Who we are
Downingtown Balvihar (DBV) is a non-profit (with IRS 501(3)C certification) organization offering educational/cultural services to students > 3y old. Our members typically share Indian American heritage with a desire to expose their children to Indian culture, language, and foundations of professional success such as prowess in mathematics, and leadership.

For DBV graduates who are motivated to further explore, develop, and integrate a cultural relevance to their modern lives, we offer a robust Youth Group program (DBVYG). Under the guidance of dedicated mentors, DBVYG members put cultural values into action through volunteer work and community involvement. They strengthen their cultural identity through discussions, debate, and teaching.

Annual day
Downingtown Balvihar celebrated Annual Day on May 21st with 300 family members and guests where students and Youth Group members from each culture grade and langue class showcased their talent and learnings. HUGE thanks to all the teachers, Annual day lead parent, volunteers and parents. Congratulations to all our students for their excellent performances.

Events
We host several cultural events through out the year to bring individual families together as a community, express our creativity, tell stories, rekindle the past, entertain ourselves and fly high for the future. Youth and children participation in these events helps develop thinking skills, builds self-esteem, and improves resilience, all of which enhance cultural education.
